Ancestry therapies are also known as Transgenerational Therapies.

What are Transgenerational Therapies?
Transgenerational family therapy, also known as intergenerational therapy, is a therapeutic approach that focuses on how a family's past affects the present. It is an evidence-based therapy that explores how families develop patterns of behavior and respond to stress across multiple generations. The goal is to help patients and their families understand and explain current problems, predict future difficulties, and develop new ways of interacting.
What is Psychogenealogy?
Psychogenealogy is a method of investigation that helps people understand their family history and how it affects them today. It's based on the idea that people inherit a psychological legacy from their ancestors, including their successes, failures, traumas, accidents, and illnesses.
How does a session look like?
Session times vary depending on the need of each session and the client. An initial session can take 3-5 hours, and sessions afterwards can take anywhere from 1.5-3 hours depending on the needs of the client. You will come to sessions bringing any information you’ve investigated about your family tree. We will map out the information and start to “dissect and diagnose” the conditions you may have in your tree. There are guided meditations to help overcome patterns found, and some of these guided meditations will have a corresponding follow up activity to make sure the healing sinks in.
